Payment Methods

Crypto-Native Payments

LLMTrader is built on blockchain infrastructure, and payments follow the same principle. All platform payments are made on-chain using cryptocurrency. No credit cards, no bank transfers, no intermediaries.

This guide covers what is accepted, how payments work on mainnet and testnet, and what to know about gas fees and refunds.

Accepted Currencies

ETH (Ether)

Ethereum's native currency is accepted on Ethereum mainnet and supported Layer 2 networks. ETH is the most straightforward payment option if you already hold Ether in your wallet.

USDC (USD Coin)

USDC is a dollar-pegged stablecoin accepted on supported chains. USDC is ideal if you want to avoid ETH price volatility between the time you fund your wallet and the time you make a payment. One USDC is always worth approximately one US dollar.

Supported Networks

Payments are accepted on:

  • Ethereum Mainnet. The primary network. Highest security, but gas fees can be significant for smaller transactions.
  • Layer 2 Networks. Supported L2 chains offer dramatically lower gas fees while maintaining Ethereum security. Specific supported L2s are listed in the platform's payment interface.

We recommend using Layer 2 networks for subscription payments to minimize gas costs.

How Payments Work

Step 1: Connect Your Wallet

Before making any payment, connect a compatible wallet to the platform. LLMTrader supports standard Ethereum wallets including MetaMask, WalletConnect-compatible wallets, and other popular options.

Your wallet serves as both your identity and your payment method on the platform.

Step 2: Select Your Plan

Navigate to the pricing page and choose your desired tier:

  • Pro: $29/month or $19/month (billed annually)
  • Pro+: $99/month or $69/month (billed annually)
  • Institutional: Custom (contact institutional@llmtrader.io)

Step 3: Choose Payment Currency

Select whether you want to pay in ETH or USDC. The platform displays the exact amount required based on current exchange rates at the time of payment.

For ETH payments, the amount adjusts based on the current ETH/USD price. For USDC payments, the amount is fixed in dollar terms.

Step 4: Review the Transaction

Before confirming, you will see a clear summary:

  • Plan selected and billing period
  • Payment amount in your chosen currency
  • Network you are paying on
  • Estimated gas fee
  • Total cost (payment + gas)

Nothing is charged until you explicitly approve the transaction.

Step 5: Approve in Your Wallet

Your wallet will prompt you to confirm the transaction. Review the details in your wallet to verify they match what the platform displayed. Once you approve, the transaction is submitted to the network.

Step 6: Confirmation and Access

Once the transaction is confirmed on-chain (typically within seconds on L2, or a few minutes on mainnet), your subscription activates immediately. You can begin using your new tier's features right away.

Mainnet and Testnet

LLMTrader is live on Ethereum mainnet and supported Layer 2 networks. Mainnet is the primary environment where users trade with real cryptocurrency and real money is at stake.

Risk Warning: Trading on mainnet involves real financial risk. You can and may lose money. Only trade with funds you can afford to lose. See our Disclaimers for full details.

Mainnet Payments

To trade on mainnet, you need real ETH or USDC in your wallet on a supported network. Connect your wallet, select your plan, and complete the payment as described in the steps above. All mainnet transactions are final and involve real monetary value.

Sepolia Testnet: Practice Mode

LLMTrader also supports the Sepolia testnet as a risk-free practice environment. Testnet mode is ideal for:

  • New users learning the platform before committing real funds
  • Testing and refining trading prompts without financial risk
  • Experimenting with different AI models and strategies

How to use testnet practice mode:

  1. Switch your wallet to Sepolia. In MetaMask or your wallet of choice, switch the network from Ethereum Mainnet to the Sepolia test network.

  2. Get free testnet ETH. Visit a Sepolia faucet (search for "Sepolia faucet" to find active options from Alchemy, Infura, or Google Cloud). Enter your wallet address and request tokens.

  3. Trade with zero risk. Testnet tokens have no real monetary value. You can experiment freely without any financial exposure.

Testnet tokens are free and unlimited (within faucet rate limits). Do not send real ETH to the testnet contract, and do not send testnet ETH to mainnet addresses.

Gas Fees

Every on-chain transaction requires a gas fee paid to the network validators. This fee is separate from the LLMTrader subscription price and varies based on network conditions.

What to Expect

NetworkTypical Gas FeeSpeed
Ethereum Mainnet$1 - $20+ (varies with congestion)1-5 minutes
Layer 2 Networks$0.01 - $0.50Seconds to 1 minute

Minimizing Gas Costs

  • Use Layer 2 networks whenever possible. The savings are substantial, especially for monthly subscription payments.
  • Time your transactions. Mainnet gas fees fluctuate throughout the day. Fees tend to be lower during off-peak hours (late night / early morning UTC).
  • Batch when possible. If you are upgrading tiers or making multiple payments, annual billing means one transaction per year instead of twelve.

Who Pays Gas?

You do. Gas fees are paid by the transaction sender (you) directly to the network. LLMTrader does not add any surcharge on top of network gas fees.

Subscription Management

Viewing Your Subscription

Your current plan, billing date, and payment history are visible in your account settings within the platform.

Upgrading

You can upgrade from Pro to Pro+ at any time. The remaining value of your current subscription period is credited toward the higher tier. The upgrade takes effect immediately.

Downgrading

You can downgrade at the end of your current billing period. You retain access to your current tier's features until the period expires, then transition to the lower tier.

Canceling

Cancel at any time. You retain access to your current tier's features until the end of the paid period. After that, you revert to the Free tier with full spectator access. Your historical data and session results remain accessible in read-only mode.

Refund Policy

LLMTrader's refund policy is straightforward and fair.

Platform Issues: Full Refund

If the platform experiences technical problems that prevent you from using paid features during a significant portion of your billing period, you are eligible for a full or partial refund. This includes:

  • Extended platform downtime
  • Critical bugs that block session creation or execution
  • Data loss affecting your session results
  • Payment processing errors

Contact support with details of the issue, and refunds will be processed promptly.

User Error: Generally No Refund

Situations that are generally not eligible for refund:

  • Poor trading performance (the AI made trades you did not like)
  • Accidentally purchasing the wrong tier (contact support immediately for case-by-case review)
  • Forgetting to cancel before a renewal
  • Wallet errors or sending funds to the wrong address

How Refunds Are Processed

Refunds are issued on-chain to the wallet that made the original payment. Processing time depends on the network but is typically completed within 24-48 hours of approval.

Security Notes

  • Never share your wallet's private key or seed phrase with anyone, including anyone claiming to represent LLMTrader. The platform will never ask for your private key.
  • Verify transaction details in your wallet before approving. Confirm the recipient address and amount match what the platform displayed.
  • Use a dedicated wallet if you prefer to keep your LLMTrader activity separate from your main holdings.
  • Bookmark the official site and always access the platform through your bookmark to avoid phishing sites.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I pay with Bitcoin or other non-Ethereum tokens? Not at this time. LLMTrader accepts ETH and USDC on Ethereum and supported L2 networks. Additional payment options may be added in the future based on demand.

What happens if my payment transaction fails? If a transaction fails (due to insufficient gas, network congestion, etc.), no payment is made and your subscription is not affected. Simply retry the transaction. Failed transactions may still consume a small gas fee; this is a network behavior, not a platform charge.

Can I pay for multiple months at once? Annual billing is the primary way to prepay. Custom prepayment arrangements may be available for institutional clients.

Is there an auto-renewal? Subscription management details, including renewal mechanics, are clearly displayed in your account settings. You will always have the ability to cancel before a renewal period begins.

Do I need a minimum wallet balance? You need enough to cover the subscription payment plus gas fees. On mainnet, ensure your wallet has the subscription amount plus a small buffer for gas. On Sepolia testnet (practice mode), free faucet tokens are sufficient.

LLMTrader is live on mainnet. Real money is at stake when trading on mainnet. If you are new to the platform, consider starting on the Sepolia testnet to familiarize yourself with the interface and payment flow before trading with real funds. The testnet experience is identical to mainnet, just with tokens that have no monetary value.

LLMTrader is experimental software. Not financial advice. Trading involves risk of loss.
